As official sponsors of the 2009 Spring Classic Mountain Bike Race, which took place at Riversands Farm on 6 September 2009, Century Property Developments made use of the opportunity to advertise and recruit members for our own riding club. The response was overwhelming and we soon realised the need for catered social rides. Since our core business is property development and not professional mountain bike racing, we felt that an informal approach with social rides on the Waterfall Country Estate was a good place to start.

The Century Property Developments Mountain Bike Club now holds frequent social rides at a variety of our Lifestyle Estates. We are based at Waterfall Country Estate, which is a haven for any outdoor activity! The estate is home to the 94.7 Mountain Bike Challenge and is well known for its scenic trails, as well as having the added advantage of being close enough for Johannesburg residents to enjoy as well.

We encourage both experienced riders and family groups to join this exciting riding club. With approximately 300 active members and more joining on a daily basis, the popularity of the club is enormous. Membership is open to anyone who is interested in mountain biking and anyone is welcome to join. We strive to cater for everyone from the beginner through to the elite rider. We feel it is essential to maintain the social aspect and not to sideline any individual for any reason, be it lack of skill or opportunity - we only ask that riders keep up the spirit! We have direct access to a multitude of safe riding locations, most of which are Century Property Developments assets, thus eliminating a number of the typical issues faced by other clubs. With backing from Century Property Developments, we see the club gaining popularity and providing residents and members with safe opportunities to enjoy the fantastic climate, flora and fauna our great country has to offer.

Rides take place on most weekends of the year on Saturdays, iIn summer, rides begin at 06h30 or earlier and in winter at 07h30.
